Frequently asked questions.

What do the supporter tiers include?

Dev Supporter ($5, once) adds the Dead Channel profile border, a supporter badge, and early access to custom profiles, with more borders and banners on the way. Founder ($10, once) includes everything in Dev Supporter, plus a Founder badge, extra profile customization, animated borders when they arrive, and two deluxe theme changes for free.

Is Kuvacult free?

Yes. Every feature is free. If you want to back the project, there are two optional one-time tiers in the app: Dev Supporter for $5 and Founder for $10. There are no subscriptions.

Which platforms does Kuvacult run on?

Kuvacult is available for Windows. Android, macOS and iOS versions are on the way: see what’s coming next, or sign up for early access to be first to try them.

Can I import my Letterboxd history?

Yes. In Letterboxd, go to Settings → Data → Export your data and download the ZIP. Then choose that ZIP on Kuvacult’s import page. A single watched.csv, watchlist.csv or ratings.csv works too.

How do shared lists work?

Make a list, share the code, and everyone you share it with can add to it. Changes show up live for the whole group.

What is a watchlist key?

Paste a watchlist key into Kuvacult to create a ready-made watchlist with every film already in order. Keys for popular franchises are on the Watch orders page.

What is Veto Sacrifice?

A game for picking a movie. Everyone picks, then everyone vetoes until one film survives. Ties are settled with blackjack.

What is a séance?

A séance is a room where friends watch together. You can share your screen to watch media you own from your own machine. Screen share is in beta at up to 30fps, and Kuvacult never hosts or stores your files.
